Ida was awarded the District Post Graduate Global Scholarship to study for a Master’s degree at Oxford University in 2017 specialising in Paediatric Cardiology. She also was awarded a prestigious Sir John Monash Scholarship to assist with considerable expenses.
Ida graduated with honours from Monash Medical School. Her career is devoted to practising Paediatric Cardiology. She was offered a further scholarship by Oxford but decided to put into practice what she already knew by returning to clinical work as a cardiologist at Monash Children’s Hospital and has accepted a similar position at Royal Children’s Hospital next year.
While academically brilliant Ida is very hands on, having had international experience in Timor Leste, Nepal, PNG, and Zimbabwe as well as with our indigenous people in the Northern Territory.
As if that is not enough, she is an accomplished pianist and choral singer.
Ida is giving back to Rotary having joined Rotary Club of Melbourne North. She is a great example of the great qualities exhibited by a Global Post Graduate Scholars.
