WHAT A DEBATE!

Thanks to Suresh for his suggestion, the TECH Team of Reg, Jo and Mark, PROMO Team of Kerry, Dorothy, Ari and Sarah.  As Suresh wrote:  "We have such a wealth of talent within our Club."

Yes, we beat Rotary Sydney.  Tough competition but very graceful in their loss.  We now have to debate Rotary Wellington in January and then Auckland.  Not only competition was created, but some wonderful new friendships.  As Chris Sotiropoulos said:

".... the debate represented another stellar example of developing deep fellowship links between our team. In fact, we learnt lots about each other’s life and inspirations and the mutual Rotary drivers."

Our President Marion commented that maybe this might be the start of another "Ashes"!

Here are some pics. highlighting our first Great Debate:

Nick Pelham was our first Team Member for RM ensuring the Stillwell Cup remains in Melbourne we hope.

Mikaela Stafrace made some very entertaining points for RM and wrapped it up very nicely.

Chris Sotiropoulos was third presenter for RM and completed an "impeccable" team effort.

David Hirsch first for Sydney

Angela Bradley for Sydney

Bernard Macleod (no relation) for Sydney

Our Jo at Headquarters Melbourne.

PE Reg taking it very seriously at control Zoom.

Thanks Suresh for MC'ing the event.

Slide used by Rotary Sydney.  Interesting concept!

Reminder of why we need to talk and promote that Global Warming is happening right now!

Chris Sotiropoulos sent me a photo of his penny farthing bicycle tied up outside Rotary Melbourne Headquarters.  I think it was his?  Possibly this is Chris' contribution to easing Global Warming by riding his bike instead of driving a car!
