DAVID BEANLAND has been named an Honorary Fellow (HonFIEAust) – Engineers Australia.
This award elevates David to the highest Engineers Australia membership grade recognising his conspicuous service to the profession of engineering, service to the Australian people and in recognition of outstanding achievement.

Emeritus Professor David Beanland AO has been at the forefront of transformation in microelectronics engineering and the Australian university sectors throughout his 60 years of service to the profession.
As Foundation Vice-Chancellor of RMIT University, David led the institution through a period of transformational change including establishing RMIT’s International University in Vietnam.
A key contributor to the entire University sector in the adoption of quality, computing and international education, David is the author of several UNESCO reports on engineering education and microelectronics.
He is Director of DGB Concepts, providing consulting services to the university sector.
