I expect you are slowly easing your way back into mainstream activities and with a bit of luck will be able to attend our members lunch next Wednesday, where we will have a brief SGM to affirm some Association rule changes. Details on the reason for these changes have been circulated and we do hope you can make it so that we have the quorum that we need.
I can’t believe that we are already nudging the end of January and getting close to a full year since our worlds shifted permanently with the pandemic. I trust you have all managed to stay safe through the holidays and at the same time managed to connect with those you love and care about.
Some of you may have managed to make the evening meeting last week and discovered Cassandra Goodman’s insights into ‘How connection and the practice of self-fidelity can improve individual and community wellbeing.’ She had some wonderful messages about being kind to oneself and recognizing that we are all, worthy, vulnerable, caring, creative and playful.
I’m sure, like me, you are all longing for us to be able to meet face to face and explore a little more fun and fellowship in our club. These have surely been sombre times!
Cassandra mentioned opening up a ‘can of worms’ with her self-exploration and she prompted us into a fascinating conversation about our own Four Way test and how that is meant to be used as a mirror on ourselves rather than a window to judge others. She shared a particularly unpleasant visual of worms!
I look forward to seeing you soon.
Until next time – take care.
