Thank you Cynthia Edgell for this most appropriate summary:
"Cassandra Goodman was as exuberant and positive as her photograph portrays!
From an extensive background in senior corporate roles, including 17 years as Global Director of Employee Experience and Wellbeing with Bupa, she told of her struggles with self-esteem and consequent lack of job satisfaction.
Her father suffered from work-related stress that profoundly impacted Cassie and her family and led to her developing a low sense of self-worth and a high achiever identity. She has discovered that by cultivating a better understanding of our essential nature and all the things that have been suppressing it, we lift up ourselves and others. This insight has clearly provided her with an opportunity for radical personal growth.
Her recently published book Self-Fidelity*is the practice of being true to one’s essential nature and is written primarily for the workplace. To this end, she stressed the importance of self-awareness and self-care (especially getting enough sleep) to stay well. By working in a way that lifts yourself and others, we restore faith in ourselves and those around us.
Cassie was particularly impressed by the Rotary 4 Way Test and its relevance to her ethos. She plans to refer to it in the future.
*Self Fidelity $29.95
