REFLECTION - ROBERT FISHER

Rotary Melbourne Reflection – 24 February 2021

Rotary Melbourne is part of one of the most successful global service organisations of our time.

Volunteering is at the very heart of Rotary, indeed that’s why many of us signed up for it. Giving of our time, talents and energy brings countless rewards. Studies have shown that volunteering helps to prolong life, leads to better health and promotes life satisfaction. How good is that? Of course it is all the more pleasurable when we engage with friends and colleagues in our Club.

As we move closer to meeting again in person, and to celebrating 100 years of wonderful service to our communities here and beyond, let us not lose sight of the importance of working cooperatively together to achieve the goals of Rotary to which we all aspire.

Today we will be focusing on the contributions of several of our members, and on some projects and opportunities for our involvement. Let’s reflect on these, be truly thankful that we are able to participate, and continue to find areas of supporting Rotary Melbourne in positive and constructive ways.

For the great work of Rotary, and the friendships we enjoy through it, we give thanks.
