Picnic and Bike Ride on Sunday 2 May 2021
After a long year of nearly all virtual contacts, the Around the Bay Team have arranged a social
gathering in the parklands at the north end of the Albert Park Lake reserve.
It is designed to give members new and old the opportunity to meet in person for fun and fellowship.
A picnic has been planned as well as the chance for some to join in the bike ride around the Formula 1 circuit. No problem if you don't feel like a bike ride!
Rotary members, partners, their children and grandchildren will all be welcome!
A free sausage sizzle will be provided (including bread, sauce and onions) and attendees will bring
their own picnic food, rugs, chairs and drinks.
The gathering is planned for 12 noon until 2 pm on Sunday 2 May. Ample parking is available in
Albert Road Drive and the southern service road of Albert Road in South Melbourne (refer map).
Kids and adults partaking in the friendly bike ride will probably assemble by 11:45 am.
We will meet at the grassy area at the north end of the lake. There are electric BBQ's, toilets and a
gazebo shelter very close by. The location has a young children's playground and also a fitness station. There will be garbage bags available to leave the area tidy after our usage.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Please RSVP to any of the following contacts for your intention to attend, and the number in your group by 31 March.
