Paul Simon, President Rotary Club of Darwin has written: "We too will be celebrating this momentous occasion and have our own Centenary Gala Dinner being conducted this coming 17 April, so the invitation is similarly open to any Rotarian who will be in Darwin at this time to attend.
Our chief guest at this event is our Patron, Her Honour, the Administrator of the Northern Territory, Vicki O'Halloran. Please make contact with our Centenary Committee via Grant Lindsay or our Secretary, John Palamountain.
Our event will be preceded by tours of our Parliament House, noting one of our club members was instrumental in its construction, followed by a formal event hosted by our Chief Minister, Michael Gunner.
We wish your event every success, noting the importance of your club being ‘the first’ of its ilk here in Australia.
