With the return to Japan of Kazuyoshi Matsunaga, Junji Shimada will join our Club as an Honorary Member.
Junji is from Osaka and is a Law and Economics graduate. Junji entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on graduation in 1985. He has had many varied postings within the Ministry responsible for security including in Washington, Jakarta, Beijing and now as the Consul General of Japan in Melbourne.
He and his wife Kaoru have two children Saki (daughter), and Sho (son). Kaoru should be joining him in October this year.
Junji has an interest in Golf and will be joining the Toorak 1 and will be attending our 100th Anniversary lunch this week.
