The key themes of the plan are around Humanitarian Service: 7 areas of Rotary Focus; meeting needs in the community; involving members in project development and implementation, including a 'champion'; leveraging community partners; a clear management plan; demonstrating respectfulness and social inclusion; prioritised and focused, internationally, nationally and locally; engage collaboratively with other Rotary Clubs; create a more environmentally sustainable world. Another key theme is developing our organisation: leveraging the Centenary of Rotary and the 2023 RI convention; fellowship and events; Aboriginal reconciliation planning; strategic partnerships; integrated planning and budgeting; membership; strengthen Rotary Melbourne's charitable structure; fund raising; communication.
Members appreciated the opportunity to provide feedback on important priorities for the year ahead, via 5 breakout rooms. Subject matter included:
maintaining high quality speaker program; working to help reinvigorate City of Melbourne; hybrid meetings; fellowship especially for new members; encourage new members to get involved in projects; re-energising local groups.
