Philip Ross picked up his bike from MyRide last Wednesday - see photographic evidence above!
Philip was very grateful for his dad’s support of The Smith Family Around the Bay 2020 raffle prize.
Jack, the MyRide store manager was fantastic. When Philip first contacted him, after Ian Ross won the prize, he initially discussed a particular model of mountain bike that he was keen to get. Due to the ongoing supply chain disruption caused by the global pandemic, the model was no longer being imported to Australia.
To his credit, Jack came up with an idea to build a custom bike based around a Scott Scale 910 frame that he was able to source. They discussed components and specifications and Jack then went to work sourcing all the required bits and pieces. They came across some real challenges with the forks, but through some changes in specification they sourced a set in Queensland that suited - about the only viable set of forks in the country due to the continuing bike parts supply problems. The bike did cost a bit more than the original prize amount, but Philip was happy to pay the balance. Jack also did a very sharp deal in the process.
Philip can highly recommend MyRide for any bike related things - they have been great to deal with and worked really hard on getting this bike sorted for him.
