Here we are all stuck at home because of the coronavirus! Are we well off? Well, when you compare us with disasters of the past, including we are not doing too badly at all and have done well in comparison with the rest of the world in controlling the virus.
Also, we need to give thanks for all the facilities we have these days like television, computers that let us communicate anywhere in the world, phones that let us see the people that we are speaking to. At least in my case I can see my local grandchildren on the phone from time to time and especially my son and his family up in New South Wales.
And of course, thanks to our technical Rotarians we are still able to have our Rotary Zoom meetings and to participate in them.
We all need to think about all the benefits which this modern age creates for us and do everything possible to get things back to normal so that those businesses suffering in Lock Down may again prosper.
As always we give thanks for being able to get together in the way we do, but being more hopeful now that we will get back to normal and meet face-to-face before the end of the year.
