Happy 22nd Anniversary
Peter Washusen was born in Ringwood and educated at Lilydale High School.
Directly from school in 1965 Peter joined the NAB and saw senior appointments in the credit environment in Melbourne Scotland and England.
Inducted on 27th October 1999, 22 years today the guest speaker on that day was BRW’s Robert Gottliebsen.
At the time of his induction Peter was with the NAB as the credit controller for the State Credit Bureau Vic & Tas. Naturally his classification was BANKING CREDIT MANAGEMENT.
Peter and Beverly have two sons and 4 grandchildren spread over Adelaide, Canberra and Newcastle. They enjoy travelling in their caravan and have visited some of the most remote places in Australia. Recently they sold up and have moved closer to family in Newcastle, NSW.
Peter’s passion for the empowerment and development of youth saw him spend many years as a Leader and, later, as a Director with Scouts Victoria. His efforts were recognised by the Scout movement.
Peter was recently named a Paul Harris Fellow for his service to the community through Rotary. Peter is recently most well known for his fostering fellowship as Group Captain and leader of the lunch organising committee. When the lunches dried up due to the pandemic Peter lent his hand at producing the Club's Project reports in the form of vignettes.
Peter for your contribution, fellowship and continued efforts and service to Rotary Melbourne thank you and Happy Anniversary.
