It is with regret and disappointment that the Organizing Committee for the Women in Rotary International Women’s Day Breakfast have made the decision to cancel this year's event.
There is no doubt that Covid 19 continues to impact greatly on many aspects of life as we currently know it, creating uncertainty in what the immediate future holds.
We were excited about the concept we were embracing for this years event and delighted at the amazing speakers and panel members we had engaged. Each was keen to help us examine both the positive and negative aspects we face with the innovation and application of technological advances through STEM.
As such, we are hoping that it may prove possible to run a similar event later in the year if and when conditions are suitable.
Should that eventuate, any funds raised would be allocated to designated charities approved by the Organizing Committee.
Supporting each other and learning from the challenges we must overcome at this uncertain time will help us all to become wiser, more resilient and able to be of greater value into the unknown future.
