A spontaneous act of kindness

Lynne Hanratty  from Kilmore made an inquiry through the Clubs Web site just a few days ago:

"I used to donate knitted jumpers and beanies to Donate in Kind in Footscray. Unfortunately my husband is ill and I can't travel there from Kilmore. I have about another 30-40 such knitted goods and was wondering whether a Rotary member could collect them from my home and deliver them to Donations in Kind."

Lynne was delighted when she learned that  Bob Glindemann and Heather Glindemann would drop in on Sunday 13 February to pick up the knitted goods, all hand knitted jumpers with matching beanies with sizes from 4 through to 10.

DIK will send these beautiful jumpers to orphanages in the mountains of Timor Leste.

What a perfect example of caring, friendship and service facilitated by Rotary.

Bravo Bob and Heather - this truly is service above self.
