'Landlord's heartwarming act for couple fleeing Taliban's terror'
Philip Endersbee has drawn Rotary Melbourne members attention to the following article on Real Estate.com.au. When the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan last year, everything suddenly changed for Sayed Burhani.
PP Philip Endersbee long-time HomeGround supporter provided a two-bedroom unit, rent free until Sayed could find employment. Nina helped arrange charitable donations of household items for Sayed and his wife. Mr Endersbee reached out to manufacturing contacts and fellow Rotarian PP Quin Scalzo, founder of Scalzo Foods. Mr Burhani accepted a production job with Scalzo Foods, before quickly moving into shipping and quality assurance positions.
Such great acts of kindness by Rotarians.
