Sad news of the passing of two individuals connected with Rotary Melbourne
John Colin Monash Bennett (Colin), film critic, musician and artist passed away peacefully on Wednesday 23 February. Colin was father of Michael Bennett who each year supports Rotary Melbourne's commemoration of Sir John Monash. Rotary Melbourne has communicated its sympathy to Michael. Vale Colin.
John Michael Landy AC CVO MBE FTSE OLY, champion middle distance runner, and Governor of Victoria and Honorary Rotary Melbourne Member from 2001 to 2006 passed away peacefully on Thursday 24 February at his home in Castlemaine. Many members will recall fondly John’s enthusiastic support for Rotary Melbourne during his Governorship. Condolences are being sent by President Reg to John Landy’s wife, Lynne. Vale John.
