As a teenager during the late 70’s and early 80’s, I was a huge fan of Jackie Collins.
When the opportunity arose to meet her, when I was living in NY, I jumped at it.
I asked Jackie how she prepared her storyboard that enabled her characters to be gradually introduced, interconnected and allow for each relationship to unfold.
Her answer was simple.
‘I don’t prepare anything. I get to know my characters as the story unfolds.’
Jackie’s approach to her writing can be likened to our three Young Achievers today.
They cannot choreograph their future, but they can certainly be prepared.
For good food, fellowship and the opportunity to be of service.
