Australian National Academy of Music event at Government House

The Governor of Victoria, the Honourable Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC invite members of the public to a special event in the Ballroom at Government House Victoria, presented by Australian National Academy of Music as part of the Governor’s Performance Series on Tuesday 21 June 2022.

Musicians from the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) will perform a concert of chamber music showcasing several of ANAM’s ensembles. The performance will feature works by 19th and 20th century composers, including Australian composer Miriam Hyde.

During refreshments, ANAM Artistic Director and Finnish piano virtuoso Paavali Jumppanen will join ANAM pianists for a selection of works by Chopin, performed on the historic 19th Century Érard piano housed in the State Dining Room.

Attendance is free; however, registration is essential.

Gates open at 10.00 am. Guests must be seated by 10.45 am. Official proceedings/performance commences at 11.00 am. Light refreshments will be served following performance. Event concludes at approximately 12.30 pm.
