Cameron Glover was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Interplast Australia & New Zealand in December 2019, just a few short months ahead of the emergence of COVID-19.  Tasked with unexpectedly pivoting a well-established organisation known for its provision of life-changing surgical and allied health care across 17 developing nations in the Asia Pacific region, Cameron and his team navigated the challenges of a global pandemic and its impact on patients needing essential care, fragile health systems and an overwhelmed surgical workforce across low-income communities.  Today, as we look beyond the immediate impacts of COVID-19, how has a global pandemic changed surgical care into the future?

Cameron Glover Background

Cameron Glover is the Chief Executive Officer of Interplast Australia & New Zealand.  Prior to his appointment in December 2019, he served as the Deputy CEO for a period of 18 months.  He joined Interplast from a successful consulting career where he specialised in non-profit strategy and fundraising implementation.  His work history has mainly be in the areas of fundraising, volunteer management and strategic planning for some of Victoria’s most loved charities.

Proudly, in June 2021 Cameron joined the Rotary Club of Melbourne and deeply regrets that his involvement hasn’t been as active as he hoped.  A further 12 months of COVID-19 impacts has diverted his attention from Rotary; prioritising family and work (although not always in that order).  He is looking forward to the Rotary year ahead and is delighted to be starting it by merging his work with a presentation to his chosen Rotary club.
