Forth Bridge Award 2021-22 - Deb Yin Foo

The Forth Bridge Award 2021-22 Citation

Deb Yin Foo

22 June 2022

The Forth Bridge Award was inaugurated in 2006 by Past President and now Honorary Member Mev Connell.  The trophy has an original rivet that was removed during repairs.  It is awarded annually to a Leader of a team of two or more members whose project or activity is considered the most outstanding contribution during the year.

In 2021-22 the Forth Bridge Award will be conferred on Deb Yin Foo, who coincidentally was inducted to Rotary Melbourne by President Mev Connect in May 2006.

Over that time, and particularly in recent years, Deb has been an active contributor to many Rotary Melbourne teams and projects.

Most recently Deb has led the Member Engagement Committee showing strong leadership in understanding the key drivers of member commitment, through extensive member contact, ensuring members from diverse backgrounds are welcomed inclusively, and researching through surveys, member engagement.

Alongside that, Deb has been an active volunteer in working with the Club’s meeting support team, responding to the need for more volunteers by stepping up to help out in setting up for the Club’s meetings at Sofitel’s No. 35 Restaurant.

Deb’s active engagement alongside others championing the End Hepatitis project in helping to refocus its actions cannot be overlooked either.

In every respect Deb satisfies the criteria for the Forth Bridge Award as an active leader and volunteer serving Rotary with diligence and ongoing commitment.

Rotary Melbourne is proud to present Deb Yin Foo with the Forth bridge Award for 2021-22.
