Reflection by Robert Fisher 20 July 22

Today’s reflection is also a celebration!

You will have heard lots about the multi-Club R100 project Rotary Give Every Child a Future. After all, it’s been in the works now for some five years.

By way of summary, the 3.9M US$ Centenary project aims to immunise around 100,000 children across 9 Pacific Island nations against three life-threatening diseases: diarrhea, pneumonia and cervical cancer. So far, I’m proud to say, we’ve raised over 90% of the required funding. Our Club alone has contributed around 100,000 dollars, and has been instrumental in raising a further quarter of a million dollars.

Now the work is well underway on the ground, supervised by our project partner, UNICEF, who are producing video footage of the implementation phase.

With my thanks for your continuing support, here is the first short video for you to enjoy. Rotary in action!
