SecondBite is BACK at the Prahran Market. With all of the activities to deal with this over the past few years, we are now at a point where we can recommence these Sunday collections, but we have to reconstitute the rosters.
Will you re-join the team to enable us to get going again?
Past collectors are well acquainted with what is required but for “newbies” the task is simple.
We meet at Prahran Market each Sunday at 2.45pm just before the market close and visit the stall holders. We collect their donations of fruit and vegetables as well as bread and often other goods.
We sort the collections, discarding goods that are certainly unlikely to keep and the SecondBite folk, who are there with the van, take the goods back to the SecondBite warehouse.
Your time commitment is usually about an hour.
