Bulletin Editor lands in London to the passing of Queen

King Charles III on Friday 9 Sept arriving at Buckingham Palace

It is certainly a very solemn time to be in London but a significant time in UK and Commonwealth history.

As we drove from Heathrow to our accommodation, on Thursday evening, all the billboards along the way had various images of The Queen. It just shows the digital age we now live in.

Reg and I, along with our daughter Jessica, were very fortunate to walk to Buckingham Palace on Friday afternoon to witness King Charles III arrival. The crowds of course were enormous but we managed to get a view from the Queen Victoria Memorial.

We attended St Peter, De Beauvoir Town, requiem mass for the repose of Queen Elizabeth II. These services were mirrored across the UK. It was very strange to be singing 'God save the King".
