2023 Rotary International Convention - 35 Weeks to GO!

CONVENTION NEWS - SEPTEMBER

We’re excited that some of you will be with us as we gather for the Rotary International Convention in Melbourne, Australia, 27-31 May where Rotary members from around the world will come together, find old friends, make new connections, and Imagine What’s Next.

After you register you will receive Convention News every two months until then, with information and tips to help you get the most from the event. You can also get the latest news at convention.rotary.org or at the official 2023 Rotary International Convention Facebook event page.

Plan a breakout session: proposals are due soon

Do you have an idea or project that you want to tell the family of Rotary about? Breakout sessions can inspire attendees, help them polish their skills, or give them new ideas for projects, raising funds, strengthening membership, and more!

Help build a breakout program that reflects and celebrates Rotary’s diversity. Submit your proposal by Friday, 30 September. If you have questions, write to conventionbreakouts@rotary.org.

Start planning your own event

With so many people gathering, the convention presents a rare opportunity. Start planning now to meet with members from your district, your zone, or another group within Rotary by organizing an unofficial affiliate event. These events, held in conjunction with the convention but outside the official program, are organized entirely by members. Each event’s organizers are responsible for its costs, including but not limited to venue rental, catering, audiovisual equipment, security, and transportation.

After you finalize your event’s details, complete the required submission form by Wednesday, 26 April, 2023. When you complete this survey, you’ll have an opportunity to add your event to the calendar of unofficial affiliate events on convention.rotary.org in early 2023 and to the Rotary Events app in May. For more information about planning an affiliate event, write to uae@rotary.org.
