The Zone 8 Regionalisation pilot information update.
After the Regionalisation Pilot vote in September, we announced that 90% of clubs voted yes to proceed with the pilot and 20 of 21 districts met the two thirds of clubs voting Yes threshold. The 21st district had a simple majority in favour but not the two thirds majority.
The results were reported to the Rotary International Board and it was approved that we proceed with 20 districts. We will continue to work with the last district during this period and give them the opportunity to have another vote at a later time.
The last several years have been focused on planning but fast forward to now and we are into the pilot implementation phase. Since we last communicated with Zone 8 members:
Throughout the new year you can expect regular communications and opportunities to get involved, so please keep a look out for emails from the team. For now, we encourage you to please have your say and be kept up to date by visiting creatingtomorrowrotary.org or email us atrotaryregionalpilot@gmail.com
If you’d like to volunteer to be part of one of a working group, the Implementation Task Force or Monitoring and Evaluation team, please use this nomination form.
Thank you for going on this journey with us the last several months and we look forward to working with all Zone 8 members in 2023!
We wish you and your families a restful and peaceful festive season.
Sincerely,
Regionalisation Pilot Project Team
