This question came up at a recent meeting of the Group Captains. Information was sought and, wait for it, the answer is “you can be a member of more than one group".
What is not clear is, if this understanding has been written down somewhere. If it has, it has not been able to be located. It also seems that some members are aware of this fact and some are not. I hear you asking the questions- “Why would anyone want to be a member of more than one Club Group?” One of the main reasons is that some members reside at more than one residential property throughout the year and like to participate in the activities of the Rotary Club Groups where they are residing.
If someone is a member of more than one Club Group, at this time, this is not recorded in the RCM Directory, only being a member of one Group is recorded. This is something that may be looked at in the future.
Wishing all members fantastic fellowship with their Club Group.
