Sad news was received of the death on Good Friday of former member Cynthia Richards after a long illness with Alzheimer’s.
Cynthia was recognised by the club with a Forth Bridge Award in 2010 for her outstanding service particularly as the Chairman of the Welfare of the Elderly committee for eight years.
A trained Physiotherapist Cynthia joined the club after the death of her husband John and embraced all opportunities for fellowship and service.
Cynthia went into care at Kew Gardens in June 2014 and in December that year resigned from the Club.
A Celebration of Life service for Cynthia will be held at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club on Wednesday 24th April 2024 at 2.00pm and all Rotarians are welcome to attend.
