Dorothy has been appointed a Rotary Specialist in Zone 8 with her area of speciality: Prevention of family violence to any community or diversity.
This is a wonderful development, as now 6 years on from Mary Barry and Dorothy creating the SAFE Families program with its informative Guide for the Prevention of Family Abuse, it surely will come to have a wider impact across the Rotary network.
The Guide already is having global outreach as Oscar Lumire a team member on the SAFE Families Inclusive Communities Initiative from Rotary Kericho in Kenya is promoting it in Kenyan Rotary Clubs.
