On 13 March 25 President Catherine, PP Mary Barry, PP Robert Fisher and Will Abdo visited members of the AmCham Australia and Australia Africa Chamber at International Chamber House
Through PP Mary’s Membership Strategy group Rotary Melbourne have determined there may be new member opportunities through developing relationships with the various Chambers of Commerce in Melbourne, several of which are in the one location – International Chamber House. Will Abdo has been instrumental in making connections there, indeed we are hoping to finalise an MOU with the Arab Chamber soon; the head of the African Chamber has been to our Club a couple of times, and now we have been introduced to the American Chamber.
Our thinking is: people coming to Melbourne for the first time from interstate or overseas may connect with their relevant Chamber, and be interested in becoming involved with the local community through the Rotary network and volunteering……
