General Sir John Monash is the most significant Australian for his professional, military and community leadership and service before, during and after WW1.

Leadership, Integrity and Service, core values of Rotary, integral in the life of Sir John Monash, are the criteria for selecting the Monash Medal recipient.

Awarded to

Dr Robert Webster OAM

For leadership, integrity and service to our nation as an educator, soldier and community leader.

A Senior Lecturer in Property Valuations and Property Finance at RMIT until retiring in 2009,
he continues lecturing part time.

A former National Serviceman and Vietnam Veteran, he has been
 involved in Veteran Related Aged Care since 1995

He has served with distinction as a Board Member of Austin Health for 15 years,
Victorian Corresponding Member for the Australian Veterans Childrens’ Assistance Trust,
 and a Board Member of the Royal Humane Society of Australasia since 2018.

Over 40 years he has served RSL Victoria in roles including State Executive Member,
State Treasurer, Vice President and President.
