Rotary Melbourne was privileged to welcome Edgardo Mulato, a respected Rotarian and currently serving as Deputy for the Department of San Salvador in El Salvador’s Legislative Assembly.
Edgardo embodies the true spirit of Rotary—combining public service with community leadership. In his role as Deputy, he has been a strong voice for social progress, youth empowerment, and the development of opportunities that uplift families and strengthen communities across San Salvador.
As an active Rotarian, Edgardo has led and supported initiatives that reflect Rotary’s global values—education, economic opportunity, and peacebuilding. He reminded us that Rotary is uniquely placed to bring together civic leaders, businesses, and local communities to achieve lasting change.
During his visit, Edgardo shared his perspective on El Salvador’s transformation—its journey toward greater stability, security, and innovation—and invited us to consider how Rotary Melbourne and Rotary in El Salvador might collaborate on shared goals.
“When we combine public service with Rotary service, we multiply our impact and show that change is possible when we work together.” – Edgardo Mulato
