We live in interesting times – a period of turmoil, chaos, danger and uncertainty. What can we do about it? As Rotarians we share a vision of a better world: free of polio, at peace, where everyone has access to a quality education.
To make this vision a reality requires a change-and-impact mindset. Change is what we want to happen, impact is what we make happen, what endures.
Olayinka Hakeem Babalola, incoming Rotary International President, wants what we do now to “endure long after our work with Rotary ends”. That’s why his presidential message for 2026-27 is Create Lasting Impact.
Ours is a high-impact club. In the next few weeks we’ll prepare budgets, consider which projects to support and decide how to do the most with the resources available.
As we finalise our 2026-27 plans, let’s ensure:
• What we say we’ll do will happen
• Many of our members will be directly involved
• Outcomes desired will be delivered and lasting
Be curious, ask questions, and embrace the opportunities this Club offers to make a real and ongoing difference in a world enduring interesting times.
Thank you to Tony Battaini for your reflection on Wednesday 11 March 26.
