Welcome New Member - Catherine Freeman

Catherine Freeman was inducted on 15th April with the classification “Healthcare Management - Legislative Liaison” by her sponsor Susan Barton and she will join the Malvern Group. 

Catherine Freeman was raised in Adelaide and educated at Henley High School, before undertaking further studies at the Elder Conservatorium of Music and the South Australian Institute of Technology, where she qualified in occupational therapy.

Catherine’s professional career has been predominantly focused in rehabilitation settings, supporting individuals to regain independence and enhance their quality of life. In the late 1990s, she relocated to Melbourne and worked within the Western Health Network. She subsequently held roles with the Transport Accident Commission, managing serious injury claims, and as a Hospital Liaison Coordinator. In the latter part of their career, Catherine operated a private occupational therapy practice. Alongside her professional work, she continues to be engaged in fashion modelling, participating in editorial and runway events for a European fashion retailer based in Melbourne.

Catherine has a longstanding commitment to community service, including serving as a committee member with the Lighthouse Foundation. She currently volunteers as a Court Networker with the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court, and the County Court of Victoria.

Catherine is a proud parent of three adult children and is widowed. Her personal interests include piano, fitness, cooking, boating, and travel.
