Footy Tipping Report for AFL 24

Thanks to Rosemary Nixon on providing a final update on the AFL 2024 tipping competition.

It was down to the wire in the 2024 Rotary Melbourne Footy Tipping Competition, now run on the ESPN platform. But the winners were clear cut and the Syme and Weeks families dominated!

First was Owen Hildenbrand, Robin Syme’s  grandson on 140 who wins $350; second Di Dakin on 139 with $250, and third Andrew Weeks on 138 who receives $150.

They were followed by another Syme grandson Ben Syme, 4th on 137; Evan Weeks and our Clive Weeks tying for equal 5th on 136; then Jim Orchard, Jan Moffatt, Andrew Richards and  Austen Burleigh tying for equal 7th on 135 rounding up the top ten. Fourth to tenth place getters receive prizes from Phil Endersebee’s Wilderness Wear or a premium bottle of wine.

Thanks to all who participated and the ESPN platform should automatically enrol tippers for next year, you just have to remember to pay! The AFL hasn’t released season dates for 2025 yet but the Thursday 7 March 24 start certainly took me by surprise! The AFLW competition is also underway, although only a select few have signed up to date.

Thanks also to Phil & Jane Endersebee for sponsoring this event fundraiser.
