Rotary Melbourne Music Scholarship recipient Sara Deeb, has continued her piano studies at Monash University and performed in various solo and ensemble settings. The Rotary Melbourne Music Scholarship has been a great help, and she's currently working hard to cover the remaining cost of purchasing a piano. Looking ahead, she plans to keep developing as a performer and to share music through both performance and community work.

Biography

Sara Deeb is a dedicated classical pianist who began studying piano at six. She has completed AMEB Piano Performance exams, performed in concerts and competitions, including the Australian International Multicultural Festival and Ringwood Eisteddfod, and attended masterclasses with renowned musicians. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music (Classical Piano) alongside a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at Monash University. A former concertmaster and violinist at Our Lady of Sion College, Sara is also a graduate of the School of Byzantine Ecclesiastical Music in Tripoli, Lebanon, and serves as a chanter in the Orthodox Church. She aspires to enrich Australia’s music community through performance, collaboration, and cultural engagement.
