Wednesday 3 June 2026 is the date scheduled for Rotary Melbourne’s 6th Annual Weorld Environment Day Lunch.
Our confirmed guest speaker will be Professor Graeme Samual AC, and his topic will be “Developing a Fit for Purpose Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act – A 7 year project.”
Professor Samual will be speaking in a “fireside chat” moderated by Past President Adrian Nelson. Members will recall that the suite of legislation resulting from Professor Samual’s review finally became law in November 2025. This will be a fascinating discussion that will no doubt touch on many of the obstacles to productive change,
This event will also celebrate the Environmental education of Secondary School students with the Presentation of Rotary Melbourne’s Environment and Sustainability Award to the winning school
The event will be held at 12:30pm in the Fitzroy Ballroom on Level 1 of the Sofitel on Collins, 25 Collins Street Melbourne.
Tickets will be $75 and a table for 10 will be $750. Donations to enable complementary ticketing of school students from across Melbourne will be welcome.
Only 2 months from now, its time to start organising your guests to join us for this event which promises to be well attended.
Registrations will open soon.
