From TikTok to Coachella: How an Australian Startup Landed a Partnership
with Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila brand.
Melbourne, Australia - 11/04/2026
An Australian startup has landed one of the most unexpected partnerships at Coachella this
year and it didn’t come from a pitch deck, a connection, or even a proper introduction.
It came from TikTok.
Melbourne-based sustainable packaging brand Little Green Panda was confirmed the exclusive
packaging supplier for 818 Tequila’s Outpost activation at Coachella, after a series of videos
caught the attention of Kendall Jenner’s tequila brand.
The team had no direct contact with 818.
Instead, their social media manager, Jasmine Cott, decided to post a series of TikToks
explaining why Little Green Panda would be the perfect fit for the brand at Coachella.
“We didn’t have an intro, we didn’t have a contact. We just thought, why not try TikTok?” said Cott.
After posting seven videos, and not expecting much to come from it, the team received a DM
from 818 Tequila asking to jump on a Zoom call.
A few days later, the deal was done.
“It still feels a bit surreal,” Beauchamp-Tardieu said.“You
don’t expect an opportunity like that to come from a TikTok, but it really shows how powerful
social media has become.”
Little Green Panda creates plastic-free packaging made from food waste, designed to perform
like traditional materials but disappear after use.
The Coachella partnership marks a major milestone for the startup, which launched in
Melbourne while Beauchamp-Tardieu was still at university. It also highlights a bigger shift in how younger brands are building relationships.
Instead of relying on traditional sales channels, emails, or introductions, many are now using
platforms like TikTok to connect directly with the brands they want to work with.
And in this case, it worked. “Sometimes the most unconventional ideas are the ones that open the biggest doors!”
Beauchamp-Tardieu said.
