Rotary Melbourne member Ruth Carlos Martinez has reported that Persie Torregoza, RC Lubang Island passed away on 10 May 26. Persie was President of the club in 2011 and worked closely with Ruth Martinez Carlos on the Renewable Energy water distribution pipeline project.
As Rc Lubang Island President in 2011, Persie was very supportive and a catalyst on our Global Gant Projects. She led our visiting RCM team at Cabra and Lubang Island to install the 1st Renewable Energy water distribution pipeline global grant project with SIBAT. (Attached are photos to show the activity on our club visit).
A model Rotarian, even towards the end, Persie was active in Rotary community project site implementations, as shown, April 17, a solar light turnover.
Persie is survived by her two boys, husband (Past President Chito), shown in photo (sitted beside Persie at the boat), who also supported our next GG club project.
With a very close union, her husband Chito is inconsolable.
