I trust you are doing well!!
It is my pleasure to update you with my monthly email in May. There are some activities, including my education and volunteer work, that I have done within this month. This month, I had a wonderful moment taking a business class with our founder, Aviv, who shared an amazing topic about core values and life purpose. To make the class more engaging and effective, everyone was required to do a pre-assignment beforehand to ensure we could deeply understand the definition of values and also find and understand our five core values and our own life purpose. During class, we had many activities such as sharing our ideas related to each topic, and particularly, we also had case studies and group decisions in which we needed to use critical thinking, and some seemed to reflect our real conditions in the NGO and our studies. I was so grateful and thankful to our founder for his time and to the BC team, who were well prepared to make the class run smoothly and productively.

For my community volunteer work, I also joined an FS activity in Bakong District. During this activity, I recently visited two families. One was an elderly family, and the other was a divorced family living with two children who deeply value their education. Whenever I visit them, I feel emotional, thankful, and full of gratitude for everything I have. I realize how fortunate I am to have a warm family, supportive mentors, and opportunities to build my capacity through work experience and pursue my education at PUC. Joining this activity has motivated me a lot. Seeing people who live in much harder conditions than me, yet never doubt their ability to continue learning and pursuing their dreams and life purpose, truly inspires me. Moreover, I also shared my own life journey with them in order to encourage and inspire them through my volunteering experiences and my education journey in both NGO work and university life.

Lastly, I would also like to share with you my education at PUC, where I am currently taking three classes. Recently, I just completed my Khmer Studies midterm examination. I truly hope that the result will be good, as all the questions were provided in advance by the professor to allow us to do deeper research by ourselves, and I just needed to understand each main point and remember some important notes. Moreover, my English, Chinese, and French are also going well. Every day, I am able to learn new vocabulary, particularly grammar rules that are beneficial for me to create my own sentences properly. Moreover, I also gain more confidence and exchange my ideas with my classmates by doing group discussions and conducting research on topics and case studies provided by our teachers. It is my pleasure that I can learn more languages, as they are not only ways to deliver my thoughts or communicate with foreigners; however, they are also beneficial for me to learn and understand other cultures and build multiple skills for my future journey, decisions, and career.
Last but not least, I would like to sincerely thank you for your generous support and for taking the time to read my monthly update. I hope you enjoy some of the photos attached below. I’m looking forward to updating you more about my education and volunteer activities that create a positive impact on the community.
Kind regards
