Meet a New Member - Jessica Ziersch

Jessica Ziersch was inducted into the Club on 20 May 2026 with the classification Public Sector – Strategy, Reform and Systems.

Jessica was born and raised in rural South Australia, growing up on a family farm where community, hard work and helping others were simply part of everyday life. Family has always been central to who she is. With a father from a farming background and a mother who worked as a nurse, she grew up with a strong appreciation for practical leadership, kindness and contributing to the community around you.

She holds an Executive Master of Public Administration and has built her career in the Victorian Public Service across skills, training, employment and economic development. Her work has focused on strategy, reform and improving systems that create employment, training and participation opportunities for people across Victoria. She is passionate about leadership that creates opportunities for others and supports future generations to thrive.

Jessica’s connection to Rotary started early through Rotary Youth Exchange and Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, experiences that had a lasting impact on her confidence, perspective and leadership journey. She later became Secretary and then President of the Rotary Club of Tailem Bend and also supported the District Governor for Rotary District 9510 through communications and engagement work.

Jessica is looking forward to reconnecting with Rotary and contributing to the Club through both her professional experience and her commitment to service above self, ethical leadership and supporting future generations of leaders.

Outside work, she enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, discovering good food and wineries, and making the most of Melbourne’s arts and culture scene — whether that’s an art gallery, theatre show, live music or simply seeing what’s happening around the city that week.
Jessica will be a member of the Central 2. She will be known in the Club as Jessica.
