RIMERN provides donated furniture, appliances and household goods to people establishing a new home after experiencing homelessness, family violence, refugee displacement and other hardships.
On 3 July 26 Rotary Melbourne volunteers, long with some of the RIMERN Committee & volunteer captains welcomed some suppliers, financial supporters, other ERN directors from Ballarata & Bendigo and some local heroes, to hear from Launch Housing CEO #SherriBruinhout & Case worker #AislingWatters about the state of homelessness & housing, and their experiences with RIMERN.
One statistic that truly stood out: 87% of long-term rough sleepers who are supported by a Launch Housing case manager do not return to the streets.
Behind every number is a person, a story, and a fresh start. A safe home provides more than shelter—it creates stability, dignity, hope, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
