Rotary Melbourne reflection – 26 August 2026

Today we are delighted to welcome our District Governor for 2026-27, Graeme Hope.

In case you don’t know, a Rotary Governor plays a pivotal leadership role that helps to shape the health, direction, and impact of Rotary within their District. At its core, the position is about inspiring Clubs, strengthening connections, and ensuring that Rotary’s values translate into meaningful action.

A District Governor is uniquely placed to guide strategic priorities, support Club leaders, and encourage innovation in service projects that address real community needs. Their influence can elevate collaboration across Clubs, amplify humanitarian outcomes, and foster a culture where members feel motivated and valued.

No pressure or unrealistic expectations, Graeme! It’s a demanding role, so thank you for taking it on. We look forward to hearing of your priorities for our District this year.

For good food, friendships and the opportunity to serve, we give thanks.

Robert Fisher.

Thank you to Robert Fisher for last week's reflection, on Wednesday 26 August 2026, which was delivered by Reg Smith.
