Last Friday morning 16 Feb 24, with a special invitation from SBS Somalia Producer Hassan Jama, Dorothy Gilmour (Rotary Hawthorn) along with Ahmed Tohow and Peter Berg both Rotary Melbourne members were given the opportunity to talk about Rotary SAFE Families Inclusive Communities Initiative with CALD communities[1] (a partnership between Rotary Melbourne and Rotary Hawthorn) for the Somalian radio/podcast program on SBS.

At the Rotary Melbourne meeting on Wednesday 7 February 24 the Guest Speaker was Tim Watson-Munro, Criminal Psychologist, who spoke on 'A Criminal Psychologist's Journey through the Justice System' and past member Professor Dr Harald Schmidt, who returned to the Club and presented on 'The End of Medicine as We Know it'.

Long time member Rodney Smith shot off a message to Jo on Monday to advise he has had almost a month in hospital with influenza and pneumonia. He’s currently in respite care and hating it. Please speak with Jo for more information. Rodney celebrates 40 years of membership this week and we are forever grateful of his extensive service, particularly to Youth Exchange which he was recognised with a Paul Harris Fellow as he relaxes in his Rotary twilight years.
