After 2 and a half years of COVID restrictions where we were unable to volunteer to help SecondBite end waste and end hunger, it was momentous to be back at Prahran Market today with our energetic Rotary volunteers and generous market stall holders. 🍎🥦🥖
Our work with SecondBite reduces waste and reduces landfill. More importantly the food we rescue is turned into nutritious meals redistributed to vulnerable Australians including families in crisis, elderly and low income people, refugees and asylum seekers, homeless people, indigenous Australians, and students. Each Sunday, members and friends of Rotary Melbourne help out. Contact us if you would like to take part.
