President Philip was in Osaka, Japan last week visiting our Sister Club, the Rotary Club of Osaka. He attended a club meeting and also met with Osaka President, Yoshihiko Sano.
The Presidents signed a special declaration between the two clubs.
We agree with the spirit of UNITE FOR GOOD, the RI theme for 2025-26, and will work together to contribute to the development of society and together support the growth of the next generation.
They also signed an agreement to further extend our Sister Club Relationship for an additional 10 years.
AGREEMENT FOR SISTER CLUB RELATIONSHIP
BetweenThe Rotary Club of Melbourne (District 9800) and The Rotary Club of Osaka (District 2660)
In the spirit of UNITE FOR GOOD, the Rotary International theme for 2025-26, this is an
agreement to renew the Sister Club Agreement between these two Rotary Clubs,With the common aims of:
- working together for the development of joint programs that will fit with Rotary's Seven
Areas of Focus;- providing the opportunity of friendship between Rotarians and their partners in
each Club;- contributing to projects that will support society in our respective countries, with
emphasis on supporting the next generation;- hosting individual Rotarians or groups of Rotarians and their partners when
visiting each other; and- maintaining correspondence between the Clubs relating to the Rotary's Five Avenues
Service.This agreement will be effective immediately on signature by the representatives of both parties
and will run for a period of ten (10) years from date of signing.This agreement will be renewable with the mutual approval of the Boards of Directors of both Clubs.
