Our community of African migrants is facing a lot of additional challenges during the COVID-19 crisis, and we have received a special plea to assist with donations of food, specified products or money.
Would you like to assist? You, your friends and family can contribute either with the donation of goods or cash as per the following list of items. Those highlighted in yellow are desperately needed by families who have limited access to other means of support.
Through the leadership of Rotary Glen Eira, support from a number of Rotary Clubs in our cluster has been secured for the purchase of food items at bulk wholesale price. As a result, food can now be prepared and donated in hygienic packs, and efficiently distributed to African families in need.
Any financial contributions should go to the R C Prahran account on the above flyer because of the urgency of obtaining food though their special contacts, and will not be tax deductible.
Rotary Melbourne will be considering a special contribution, but members are encouraged to help in any way they can. Any enquiries should please be directed to Robert Fisher on 0417 101 314.
