Melbourne Marathon

Rotary Melbourne volunteers manage a drink station at the Melbourne Marathon, providing water and refreshments to runners as they approach the MCG. Volunteers set up the station, fill cups, and offer drinks to passing participants, ensuring hydration and encouragement along the route. This involves teamwork, coordination, and maintaining a positive atmosphere for the runners. It's a great opportunity for social interaction, with Rotarians and non-Rotarians alike coming together to support the event. Volunteers typically work in shifts and help clean up after the race, making it a fun and rewarding community service experience.

The Marathon funds the volunteers, with all proceeds going to our support of the Learning for Life program of The Smith Family.
