Launch Housing launch of their 2025 Impact Report

Richard Parker and Sue Smith attended the above event on Thursday 13 November 25 along with a number of philanthropic donors at Launch Housing's Headquarters in Collingwood. The aim of the launch was to factually outline Launch's impact over last12 months, including what is working and what is not.

Launch Housing is the biggest deliverer of housing services in Victoria. Despite the difficulty of availability of rental housing, other aspects of family support or important connections were offered around health, schools, family and cultural issues. Their aim is to deliver lasting outcomes.

The also discussed the complexity of homeless family issues.
They aim to avoid people falling through cracks even if immediate housing is not available.
They briefed us on their Education Pathways Program, which is one of Victoria’s only specialised programs supporting children who are overcoming the trauma of homelessness to engage in school and address gaps in their learning. Since 2015, hundreds of children have found their way back to education through this program.
Strong appreciation was expressed for Rotary Melbourne's Making A House A Home project which is well known to their senior team.  It provides tea-chest boxes filled with essential new homewares for people moving from homelessness or crisis into safe housing with Launch Housing.
They also appreciate our role in assisting with transporting their Christmas present toy program; is not just a simple charity but part of their family support which empowers mothers to select and wrap toys for their own kids.
