
Info About the Science and Engineering Challenge
The Science and Engineering Challenge is a nationwide STEM program founded by The University of Newcastle and delivered in partnership with Rotary Clubs and Deakin University Burwood and Monash Uni Clayton. The program brings together teams of Year 9 and 10 students for an exciting day of hands-on challenges, friendly competition, and creative problem-solving across science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
From building bridges to robotic hands, students work together to test their skills, think outside the box, and have fun competing against other schools.
Get ready to inspire the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators! We’re now calling for enthusiastic volunteers to help make the 2026 Challenge a success.
We are seeking volunteers for the upcoming opportunities:
- Tuesday June 16 from 8am -3pm
- Wed June 17 – 8am-3pm
Monash Uni Clayton

Volunteers will need to have a current Working with Children Check. If they don’t have one, they can apply online for free (as a volunteer for Brighton Rotary) at Working with Children Check
